recently escorted Santa along the

parade route at the annual

Quincy Christmas Parade.

recently helped Santa attend the

Germantown Neighborhood Association's

Breakfast with Santa that is sponsored

by Dunkin Donuts'.

Special thanks to Quincy Firefighter

Recent Promotions/New Hires

The Quincy Fire Department recently had a

round of promotions and new hires.

They were as follows:

 

Recently promoted to Lieutenants were

Mark Kennedy and Kevin Ferent

Recently promoted to Master Mechanic was

Michael O'Connor

(Pictured above second from left)

 

 

New members of the Quincy Fire Department

were recently sworn in at

Quincy City Hall.

The new recruits are currently training out at

the Mass State Fire Academy in

Stowe, Ma. and are due to graduate

on December 23rd.

Charitable Efforts

Through fundraising efforts, Quincy Firefighters Local 792 presented a check of  $2000.00 to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, an organization that funds both medical research and patient services for those diagnosed with leukemia and lymphoma.  Pictured from left to right - Sharon Klein, Executive Director of the Massachussetts Branch, Lieutenant Ralph Blight, Firefighter Billy Graham, & Lara Smith LCSW - Patient Services Manager.  A big thank you to Quincy Fire Lieutenant Ralph Blight who organizes this annual fundraiser.

 

 

Local 792 Golf Tournament

Local 792 recently had a golf tournament to benefit the Quincy Public Schools Athletic Department.  A special thanks to Paul Moody, Mike Granahan, Mike Marshall, and all the members who donated thier time, for all their efforts in making this a successful event.  This past week Local 792 was able to present a check for $6,000 to the Quincy Public Schools Athletic Department.  The funds will be used to pay for referees/officials for all freshman sporting events for the year.

The Quincy Firefighters Association Local 792 presented

PFFM District Vice 1 Vice President Emeritus John Sciara

with an award in appreciation for all of

John's hard work over the years as

PFFM District 1 V.P.

John's efforts and experience over the

past 26 years as District 1 Vice President

and Executive Board member of the PFFM

are going to be sorely missed.

We thank John for his years of service

and wish him the very best

in retirement.
